Fire Awareness

It is a legal requirement that all employees are provided with adequate fire safety training. Fire awareness training is the minimum level of training and should be tailored to be specific to the site or premises.

Course designed for

Fire awareness training is designed for both management and staff to encourage them to recognize and react appropriately when a fire is discovered or a fire alarm sounds.

The basic course will include the selection and operation of fire extinguishers and can be structured to include the practical use of extinguishers.

Practical fire extinguisher training would be deemed necessary if employees are expected to correctly select, operate and use extinguishers, fire blankets or hose reels.

If training is to be carried out onsite, a fire risk assessment must be completed prior to the training event
