Introduction
Every year in the UK there are a number of utility strikes that have resulted in Financial loss, Injuries and Fatalities. These incidents could have been avoided if it wasn’t for a number of factors, these include lack of adequate training, not following safe working practices/procedures and industry guidance. Training is a major element in educating personnel in the correct methods and techniques not only for locating utility apparatus but also exposing and supporting them correctly.
